Obama’s website post new gun control plans.
Well we warned you Obama was anti gun but you were promised by his factcheck website that he was not. Now his new website has posted his true gun control plans.
Last week President-elect Obama’s Web site had posted his administration’s agenda for curtailing the Second Amendment rights of law abiding Americans, thereby validating the concerns of gun owners, sportsmen and firearms enthusiasts all across the country. Curiously, the Obama-Biden gun control agenda was taken down from the Web site after just two days.
We are not really surprised at the changing website Obamas webmasters have done this before on Obama websites. But this time they have been caught. Because the new website is a gov website it is PD unlike the old campain one that was copyrighted. A archived copy of the old website has been posted here so Obamas webmasters can no longer hide what they posted. Guncontrol is listed under Urban Policy
To allow the Obama camp to pretend their words never existed is unacceptable.
President-elect Obama’s Web site stated he would make permanent the expired “assault weapons” ban of 1994, a ban on firearms that was based on cosmetic appearance, such as the type of stock on the gun, and not functionality. The expired ban did nothing to reduce crime while it was in place. President-elect Obama’s Web site intentionally misled the American people by referring to these firearms as “weapons that belong on foreign battlefields.” These firearms are not machine guns. In reality, these commonplace firearms that President-elect Obama wants to permanently ban are used in shooting competitions and are found in homes and hunting lodges all across the country. They fire only once with each trigger pull, no spray firing, and they shoot the same ammunition as other firearms of the same caliber.
President-elect Obama has also promised to repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, a law which restricts public access to sensitive, law enforcement — only firearms tracing data. Public release of gun trace data outside law enforcement has and will continue to jeopardize ongoing criminal investigations, putting the lives of law enforcement, witnesses and others at risk. This is why Congress, ATF, and law enforcement, including the nation’s largest police organization, the Fraternal Order of Police, agree on the importance of securing this sensitive data. Access to gun trace data should only be available to law enforcement taking part in a bona-fide investigation, and law enforcement already has the access it needs for this purpose. No law enforcement agency has ever been denied access to trace data as part of a criminal investigation.
The Obama-Biden Web site also called for “childproofing” all firearms, despite firearm-related accidents being at their lowest levels in history, including a 60 percent decrease over the last 20 years, and a federal law that requires firearms dealers to provide a lock with each handgun sold and to have locks available for consumers to purchase. Firearms industry members have a long history of supporting the safe and responsible use and storage of firearms through programs such as Project ChildSafe, a campaign developed by the NSSF that has distributed over 35 million free gun lock safe storage kits throughout the United States. For years, manufacturers have voluntarily provided a free locking device with each new firearm. Thankfully, the National Safety Council reports that childhood firearms accidents now comprise less than 1 percent of all fatal childhood injuries.
Finally, the appointment of Rahm Emanuel, the strident chief architect of the Clinton-Gore gun control agenda, as President-elect Obama’s chief of staff sends an unambiguous message to gun-owners and members of the firearms industry.
Is this the change you voted for? Perhaps next time someone says they have change but wont tell you what it is you won’t vote for them.

I’m sorry, but Obama was completely out of line when he stated in an interview that there was no proof guns have protected us. Actually there are numerous stories and books on people (especially women) that have survived because they happened to have a gun. Women are looked at as week by criminals. We sometimes have a hard time defending ourselves. I am not saying if we all have a gun we’re safe but we will have a fighting chance. There is a quote from Linda A. Prussen-Razzano that hit my heart like a knife.
“Moreover, I want to make people understand that anti-gun laws do no deter crime. This statement is the absolute truth for two reasons:
1. Criminals, by definition, do not obey the law.
2. Guns do not have a life of their own; they do not fly about randomly committing crimes. Guns are simply tools; they require human beings to operate.
If the anti-crime activists want to seriously address the issue, they should call for the arming and proper training of all law-abiding citizens. If they seriously want to level the “playing field,” they should make sure law-abiding citizens are equipped with the right gear to survive in the “game.”
The fact that some anti-gun groups call for the wholesale confiscation and elimination of guns tells me one thing…they want to see me naked in my desperation, clutching a telephone, begging for the police to come before the intruder violates my home, my body, my child. To secure their peace of mind, they would leave me exposed to certain victimhood, rather than allowing me to empower myself and defend my God-given right to live and to protect my family.
I have just four words for folks like that: Over My Dead Body. I will not play the victim for you. I will not trust the future of my security to things like “luck”. I will not be a statistic, just so you can feel as if you have “done something.”"

great idea. give everyone guns and train them how to use them. because there defiantly isnt any crazy people out there who wouldnt commit crimes with a gun. oh, and when making a point, you should learn how to spell “weak” and close quotations. and just because you are a female does not mean you are assured “certain victimhood” and just because some people want to limit the use of guns does not mean they want to see you victimized! it’s people like you that really give america the bad name it has. learn about something before you speak out about it and think for once

Hey Jessie, you might want to check your facts there big guy. in many places such as Texas and other states there are concealed carry laws in place, and ironically people/criminals might be a little bit afraid of walking into a store and holding the place up if they know that everyone in that store could potentially be packing. Just a thought, also many of the states that do have concealed carry require that your guns be registered and that you have a concealed carry permit which often requires a background check and sometimes even more. Although I cannot speak on the account of every state in the Union, concealed weapons are not accelerants to crime, they are deterrents and should be the choice of every law-abiding American whether they want to carry concealed weapons or not.

Face it. Obama will do everything in his power to make it so that law-abiding citizens cannot own or use guns. There’s no way that I will be giving up my guns just because the new president feels that we are untrustworthy of handling our firearms with care.
I don’t know what Liberals are thinking. But, I do know that if he imposes some sort of “plan” that will severely limit gun use, then it will be everybody paying for it out of their tax dollars. Also, jesse, you spelled definitely wrong. Why don’t YOU stop to think before you criticize. Oh, and you should capitalize the first letter of the first word of a sentence.
My only question to everyone who voted for Obama is: Why is your newly appointed leader concentrating on gun laws when he has no idea what he’s doing about healthcare?
If Obama wants to go against the 2nd Amendment, then I would imagine that Texas would not be too happy. My advice to Obama: Leave gun control laws alone and focus on more important issues.
This goes out to every gun owner and enthusiast out there. All the time I hear talk of big bad Obama putting bans on certain guns and making life hard on the law abiding citizen. Rest assured, Obama well he just doesn’t have that kind of power to violate the 2nd amendment any way he sees fit. If he was to try so he would have the NRA and every other major gun advocacy group/organization in America at his doorstep and at the doorstep of the Supreme Court. Basically if you are a responsible American and are worried about the future, the future is in your hands and the only thing you can do is join the NRA and similar organizations, vote for officials that respect the 2nd amendment, and most importantly excersise your right to freedom of speech and make your voice heard!! If the people of this country make their opinions heard we can overcome this new face of communism that has taken over the white house.
