Illinois Senate proves ignorance is bliss.
In response to the mass shootings at Virginia Tech, the Illinois Senate has passed a bill banning so-called high capacity gun magazines. The bill’s sponsor, Senator Dan Kotowski, says the measure doesn’t infringe on people’s rights to own guns. He says it goes more to the heart of the matter, which is how many rounds of ammunition someone can buy in Illinois.
But Republican Senator Todd Seiben calls the measure a “feel good” bill designed to help lawmakers tell constituents they are making streets safer.
The measure now moves to the House.

No surprise here. Same old Chicago anti-gun BS. The House seems to have a bit better record on voting down anti-gun garbage like this. If you live in IL like I do, make sure you contact your Representatives and let them know to vote this crap down.
